Obama Has a Vision. Romney has... maybe a Vison Coat.

Today -June 15th 2012- is a historic day for America. Today President Obama made a necessary, just and brave decision: to stop deporting children of illegal immigrants who meet certain criteria and are in the country in good standing. The conditions as laid out in the release are:

• Any foreign-born children who came to the U.S. age 16 years or younger and who have continuously resided in the United States for at least five years.
• They must not have been convicted of a felony offense or of multiple misdemeanor offenses or pose a threat to national security.
• The policy extends to those in school, or high school graduates, or those with a GED or equivalent, or have been in military service with an honorable discharge.
• Cannot be above the age of 30.

At a campaign stop in Cleveland on Wednesday, just one day before the announcement, Obama declared: “If we truly want to make this country a destination for talent and ingenuity to people from all over the world, we won’t deport hard-working responsible young immigrants who have grown up here or received advanced degrees here. We’ll let them earn the chance to become American citizens so they can grow our economy.”

Who Can Be Against That?

Some Republicans can: Romney, Rubio, Allen West, Lamar Alexander and a Rush Limb-of or Limbo (sorry if I cannot pronounce his surname, but you already know me: I'm a man with an accent)... Some, but not all Republicans. Many of them know that it's the right thing for America (things like this make America so great) and this is the right thing for these young people. Even the Utah's conservative Republican Attorney General Mark Shurtleff endorsed Obama's move, confirming it's perfectly within presidential power. Becoming from a law expert, a Romney supporter and a diehard conservative on many issues, this opinion "is worth a mass".

Mitt Romney, in his pervasive ambiguity, has already made his statement: "I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault of their own is an important matter TO BE CONSIDERED and SHOULD BE SOLVED on a long-term solution...If I'm president, we'll do our very best to have that kind of long-term solution that provides certainty and clarity for the people who..."

I'm sorry, but I could not bear it anymore. If you want to know how he finished his bad written song, please find it in the Internet.

One thing is very clear today for all progressive mankind: Barack Obama has a Vision... and Mitt Romney... well, I hope he has at least a Vison coat (the one his money can buy), and if you note that in this game with words -VISION & VISON-, the "i" of "intelligence" or the "i" of "integrity" is missing, I assure you that it's pure coincidence.

Anyway, Barack Obama demonstrated today that he has the wisdom and the guts to run this great country... and this is something that has to be said out loud, with an accent or without it.

Note: The American Vison or Mink is one of the principal fur-bearing animals in the eastern United States and is one of the few animals that can be reared economically on fur farms.
